Compass Submission Portal

Please read your 125-word limit article every month to ensure all information is correct as submitted. Thank you for your attention to the small details. Your efforts are appreciated.

Please Remember:
  • Time is written out with AM and PM in caps without periods, with one space after the number and no space between the caps (e.g., 10:00 AM, not 10 AM.) (i.e., 10:00 to 11:00 AM)
  • Month is spelled out (i.e., November, NOT Nov.)
  • Locations: Presentation Hall is shortened to P-Hall (KS); OC or KS is placed in parentheses after the title of the room (e.g., Multipurpose Room (OC).
  • Phone number with area code (i.e., 916-408-1111).
  • Capitalize the first letter of your Club Name (e.g., Golf, Men’s), Job titles (e.g., President), Committees (e.g., Nominating Committee), and Locations (e.g., Sports Pavilion). Meeting Rooms are capitalized (e.g., Fine Arts Room).
  • Insert your club name exactly as it appears in the Club News section of the COMPASS (e.g., Bridge, Duplicate; Mah Jongg, Chinese; Woodcarvers).
  • Do not use Lincoln Hills as part of your club name anywhere in the Portal or in your article. It is a given.

After you submit your article:
  • Photos must be in a jpg, png or gif format with no spaces or special characters in the name. (Maximum 5.5 mb).
  • Caption - 10 word maximum
  • Check to see that you received a return receipt response to advise you that your submission was successful. If you do not receive a receipt response, please resubmit.
  • If you have changes to your article, the system will not allow you to edit once it is received. However, if you need to make a change, please type in capital letters REVISED after the club name. This will alert us that it is to replace your earlier submission.

How to submit your article
  • Enter the Recipients email that would like to receive the confirmation notification.
  • Enter the first and last name for the individual that is submitting the article
  • Enter the club name that you are submitting the article for
  • Copy and paste your article into the field labeled article. *Add any notations in parenthesis to identify any special font styles/changes
  • Enter One club contact. (if you have more than one club contact you will need to enter it into the text of your article – thereby using some of the 125 word maximum).
  • Enter One club contact phone number.
  • Enter One club email address.
  • If your club has a website, then you may enter it in the next field.
  • Enter your 10 word maximum caption and the image you wish to upload

Click the Submit button.
